Roofus

Roofus had a very shaky month. Somehow this little fellow ended up falling off a roof when he was about three weeks old. We can only speculate on how he ended up in this situation, but since it is unlikely his mother put him there, someone else must have. The animal control officer who was called to the scene took him to the shelter and turned him over to the veterinarians, who determined that he hadn’t sus-tained any major injuries. He was named Roofus at the shelter and his name stayed with him. Roofus may not have had seri-ous injuries, but he was definitely stiff and sore with a bloody nose, and very hungry. It took a few days to feel himself again and a few weeks to adjust to losing his mom, but he recovered completely and at the Maddie’s Fund Adoptathon he was adopted by people who adore him. They also adopted his best friend, Boyd, and the two of them are thriving.
